Nanggroe aceh darussalam

Aceh was first known as Aceh Darussalam (1511-1959), and then later as The Daerah istimewa aceh (1959-2001), Nanggroe aceh darussalam (2001-2009), the last Aceh (2009-present). Nanggroe aceh darussalam is located at the western end of indonesia. its capital is banda aceh, The population of the province is about 4,500,000 people, Aceh is considered as the start of the spread of Islam in Indonesia and plays an important role in the spread of Islam in Southeast Asia. in the early seventeenth century the sultanate aceh was the most wealthy, powerfull and luxurious state in the malaka straits. and the percentage of Muslim population is the highest in Indonesia and they live based on the Islamic sharia. Aceh has a lot of naural resources such as oil and natural gas. in the preshistoric times aceh was already inhabited in Mesolithic times, this has been proven by the bukit kerang site that claimed to be the relic in the 

bukit kerang (kec.juruan muda)

district of Aceh Tamiang and there is also other evidence with the discovery of artifacts from the Mesolithic era such sumatralith axe, fragments of human teeth, rhinoceros bones, and a few other simple equipment and these discovery was called desa pangkalan site, and another discovery was found in the highland gayo, precisely in the ceruk mendale and ceruk ujung karang. from these discovery has been clearly proves that the existence of prehistoric human which lasted approximately 7.400 until 5.000 years ago.
